Job summary

Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a Procurement Training Specialist to develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs related to procurement and contracting. Under the supervision of the Training and Development Manager, you will enhance staff knowledge, ensure policy compliance, and standardize procurement practices across the agency.

You will design materials, run in-person and online sessions, and support onboarding and continuing education for staff within the Georgia

Qualifications

• Three years of experience providing educational, training or instructional services in a functional area; or one year at the lower level.
• Knowledge of Georgia procurement laws, rules, policies and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe for developing training materials, managing data, and supporting communications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person instructor-led and virtual training sessions on procurement systems, contract management procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Assist onboarding of new procurement personnel with orientation and training.
• Coordinate and track staff certifications and trainings as required by state policy.
