Job summary

Columbus Technical College is seeking a full-time Purchasing Technician to join the Fiscal Operations team. The role involves reviewing requisitions, creating purchase orders, and supporting procurement processes in accordance with State of Georgia policies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 3 years of related experience, and familiarity with MS Office; certification in GCPA/GCPCA within 6 months is required. Credit/background checks apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three (3) years of related work experience.
• Certification(s) in GA Procurement area within 6 months: GCPA and/or GCPCA.

Responsibilities

• Ensures prompt, efficient service in procurement of services, supplies, and equipment.
• Receives and reviews purchase requisitions from departments.
• Creates and issues purchase orders.
• Supports Purchasing Card Program in compliance with policies.
• Maintains procurement records and documentation.
• Facilitates new vendor setup with the SAO.
• Assists with asset management.
• Creates purchasing reports.
• Performs other purchasing and administrative duties.
