The Arizona Department of Child Safety seeks a Procurement Technician responsible for procuring services and commodities for statewide offices. This role includes conducting purchasing, maintaining accuracy in records, and providing vendor outreach while ensuring compliance with procurement codes.
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for procuring commodities and services requested by DCS offices statewide up to his/her delegated procurement authority and in accordance with policies and procedures. This position prepares and issues informal solicitations for commodities and general services. Responsible for documenting the receipt of goods and services. Participates in LEAN processes to create efficiencies for the Department. Provides status updates to end users and Procurement management.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Minimum three years experience equivalent to that or above the Administrative Assistant III or Procurement Associate level in such fields as purchasing, accounting, budget, personnel or related administrative field is preferred. Professional certification such as a Certified Public Purchasing Buyer (CPPB) from a professional purchasing organization is preferred but not required.
Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from DCS Central Registry.
