Job summary

CBRE Procurement Technology PMO Director leads strategic vision and project management for the procurement technology platform. He/she works with internal partners and business units to develop, install and enhance procurement systems, including AI/LLM initiatives and process automation.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on delivering superior service to internal clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
• Ability to apply robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business and key drivers which impact departmental and cross functional performance.
• Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Demonstrated expertise in emerging AI and large language model (LLM) technologies, including use case development, prompt engineering, and the application of AI solutions to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
• A genuine people person with exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to partner with stakeholders globally to conceptualize solutions, align business needs, and drive meaningful outcomes.
• Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mind.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of departmental projects with tight cost, timeline and quality controls.
• Identify and deploy AI/LLM use cases to automate procurement processes and improve outcomes.
• Oversee system and process enhancements to deliver superior internal service.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies and derive insightful reports for senior management.
• Cultivate relationships with technology vendors to optimize partnerships.
• Forecast and manage annual departmental budgets and evaluate business trends.
• Coordinate platform implementations during client transitions and allocate resources accordingly.
• Drive cross-functional performance through deep business acumen and knowledge base.
• Identify and resolve complex operational challenges by deploying internal and external resources.
• Maintain high service levels for standard technology platforms and service delivery.
• Coordinate system strategies with field management, accounting, and other groups.
