General Information

Job Description: The Logistics Specialist will assist with supply chain activities required to bring products and ingredients into contracted warehouses, vendors, to our plants, or direct to customers.

The role involves completing documentation and systems entry to enable timely and cost-effective flow of products and ingredients, supporting relationship development for order and shipment changes, and making optimal buy or sell decisions to minimize costs and maximize profits and services.

Responsibilities include executing transportation and logistics activities related to material resource planning, claims, incidents, customer service, and contracts; facilitating shipments against purchase and sales contracts; executing purchase orders and invoices; performing data entry using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and databases; resolving basic issues and providing recommendations for improving freight movements; supporting routine scheduling, transportation arrangements, inventory management, and shipment reporting; managing inbound raw materials and finished goods movement; and handling logistics activities such as capacity planning, third-party warehouse management, container administration, and import shipments. Basic issues are handled under supervision, with escalation for complex problems.
