Job summary

APPLIED PHYSICAL SCIENCES CORP in Groton, CT is seeking a Supplier Management Engineer to support procurement for critical hardware production efforts on Government contracts. This role requires collaboration between engineering, program management, and vendors to ensure timely material flow and procurement actions.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, a minimum of an AS degree in Engineering Technology or Business, and must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of job-related experience necessary.
• Ability to focus on vendor contracts for low volume long lead materials.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQs preparation and issuance to vendors.
• Evaluate vendor quotes for cost and compliance.
• Track vendor performance and resolve supply issues.
