Job summary

Promat-Inc in Maryville, TN is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead purchasing for the Maryville facility and hosted units. You will source materials, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely procurement to balance cost, quality, and delivery.

The role requires strong experience in purchasing, supplier management, and ERP/MRP systems, with a focus on supply continuity and inventory optimization. On-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase order processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws and internal ethics policies.
• Serve as the primary buyer for the Maryville operation.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for materials and supplies.
• Perform MRP analysis and procurement planning to ensure material availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock to support production.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Source new suppliers and evaluate capabilities, pricing, and risk.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts as appropriate.
• Track deliveries and resolve shortages or delays.
• Coordinate communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
