Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Purchasing Agent for the Department of Corrections Central Office to support agency-wide procurement needs. You will review requests, process orders, and maintain accurate records using SAP, SRM, and APR systems.

Telework up to 3 days/week is available; on-site options in Mechanicsburg may be required. The role requires three years of purchasing or related experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to resolve vendor questions and discrepancies.

Competenze

• Three years of experience in purchasing work involving contact with vendors in the procurement of a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, or services.
• Three years of experience in requisitioning, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory of goods.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training; post-high school education may substitute for purchasing/stores experience.

Mansioni

• Provide staff guidance on proper purchasing methods and maintain procurement documentation.
• Make purchases with the Commonwealth purchasing card and prepare documents for monthly reconciliation.
• Evaluate purchase requests, research suppliers, and prepare bids and purchase orders.
