Job summary

Aston Carter seeks a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support procurement and supply chain operations in New Berlin, WI. SAP-proficient candidate with 1–3 years of purchasing or administrative experience is preferred.

You will handle purchase orders, vendor communications, and procurement documentation while coordinating with internal teams to optimize costs and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or administrative experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Experience creating purchase orders and maintaining vendor records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other MS Office apps.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, creation, and processing of purchase orders in SAP.
• Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information.
• Review and reconcile PO discrepancies and invoice issues.
• Coordinate with operations, production, accounting, and inventory control.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotes for cost-effective purchasing.
• Assist with inventory tracking and replenishment.
• Update procurement reports and databases as needed.
• Support supplier performance reviews and vendor relationships.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies.
