The role requires 2+ years in purchasing, strong Excel and ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred), data analysis, and the ability to coordinate with Operations, Planning, Inventory, Quality, and Finance to maintain purchasing discipline and results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing, materials, or supply chain experience.
• Experience with Excel and ERP purchasing processes; Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and cross-plant collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary purchasing execution partner for designated facilities and Operations leadership; understand production schedules and impact of purchasing decisions.
• Execute sourcing strategies, negotiated contracts, approved supplier lists, pricing, and specifications established by Global/Regional Category leadership.
• Collaborate daily with Operations, Planning, Inventory, Quality, Finance/AP and Category Management; maintain escalation paths and decision rights.
• Procure-to-pay discipline: convert approved demand into purchase orders; confirm price, terms, quantities, delivery dates, coding; monitor open orders through receipt to closure.
• Contract and policy compliance: use approved suppliers, negotiated terms, buying channels, and delegated authority; flag maverick spend and off-contract pricing.
• Supplier execution and escalation: secure acknowledgements, maintain dates, expedite material, resolve shortages and discrepancies, coordinate recovery plans.
• Inventory and working capital: review demand, lead times, safety stock, open-PO exposure, and opportunities to lower inventory days without sacrificing service.
• Supplier performance: maintain delivery and defect data, support corrective actions, and implement scorecards for top suppliers.
• Cost and P&L impact: validate pricing, identify leakage and savings opportunities, and raise issues to leadership.
• Data and systems: maintain supplier, item, pricing, lead-time, and PO data in ERP; support standardized workflows and reporting.
• Customer service: provide Operations with status, ownership, recovery dates, and timely communication.
