Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. seeks a Procurement Specialist to provide end-to-end procurement support for the Hermosa project, spanning sourcing, supplier onboarding, RFQs/RFPs and contract management.

You will work with project teams to source goods and services, manage risk, and deliver value in line with South32 values. The role involves collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers, expediting, cost reconciliation, and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, accounting, engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as CPM or CSM are assets.
• Minimum 3 years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain in construction/mining/heavy industry.
• Experience with Blanket/ Master/Supply catalog agreements is highly regarded.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, SharePoint; familiar with ERP systems and procurement apps (SAP/Ariba).
• Demonstrated track record of safe work practices and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-award activities: RFQs/RFPs, tendering, bid packages, supplier clarifications.
• Perform commercial evaluation, clarification and award recommendations.
• Assess procurement risks and communicate impacts on timelines and delivery.
• Post-award activities: PO issuance, onboarding, expediting, quality and delivery compliance.
• Manage supplier relationships, meetings, invoicing, change orders, KPI reporting.
