Job summary

CAC I is seeking a experienced Procurement Specialist, Journeyman to support DoD programs across Indo-Pacific. You will coordinate procurement of supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, acquisition, contracts administration, or logistics operations for Government or DoD programs.
  • Experience with DoD, Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, or SOF organizations preferred.
  • Experience processing requisitions, purchase orders, vendor quotations, and procurement documentation.
  • Experience coordinating procurement activities with suppliers, subcontractors, finance, contracts, logistics, and warehouse teams.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles, vendor management, and supply chain processes for Government contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement actions while meeting schedules.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist, Journeyman to support procurement and acquisition operations across the Indo-Pacific. The Procurement Specialist, Journeyman serves as CACI's procurement professional responsible for coordinating the acquisition of supplies, equipment, materials, and services supporting logistics, facilities, mission support, training, and operational requirements. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, this position ensures procurement activities are executed efficiently, comply with contractual and corporate requirements, and support timely mission execution across geographically dispersed locations.

The Procurement Specialist works closely with Government stakeholders, program leadership, logistics personnel, finance, contracts, warehouse personnel, property managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and mission partners to process purchase requests, obtain vendor quotations, issue purchase orders, monitor deliveries, resolve procurement issues, and maintain procurement records. This position contributes to successful program execution by ensuring required goods and services are acquired on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable procurement regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Process purchase requisitions and procure supplies, equipment, materials, and services in support of program operations.

  • Prepare requests for quotations (RFQs), evaluate vendor responses, and coordinate source selection activities in accordance with company procurement procedures.

  • Issue purchase orders and monitor procurement actions from requisition through receipt and closeout.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, logistics personnel, warehouse staff, and property managers to ensure timely delivery of procured items.

  • Monitor procurement schedules and proactively identify and resolve supply chain or vendor performance issues.

  • Maintain procurement files, purchase order documentation, vendor records, and procurement tracking systems.

  • Coordinate with Contracts, Finance, and Program Management to ensure procurement activities comply with contractual requirements and funding limitations.

  • Conduct market research to identify qualified vendors, competitive pricing, and alternate sourcing strategies.

  • Support subcontract administration activities and coordinate procurement documentation for audit readiness.

  • Verify procurement documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.

  • Monitor procurement metrics and prepare procurement status reports for program leadership.

  • Assist with inventory reconciliation and property accountability for procured Government and contractor-owned assets.

  • Support contingency procurement activities and rapid acquisition requirements during emergent operations.

  • Maintain compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), company procurement policies, and ethical procurement standards.

  • Promote continuous process improvement to enhance procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and operational support.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, acquisition, contracts administration, or logistics operations for Government or Department of Defense programs.

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, or Special Operations organizations is preferred.

  • Experience processing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor quotations, and procurement documentation.

  • Experience coordinating procurement activities with suppliers, subcontractors, finance, contracts, logistics, and warehouse organizations.

  • Working knowledge of procurement principles, vendor management, and supply chain processes supporting Government contracts.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement actions while meeting operational schedules and customer requirements.

Desired
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed Government programs involving OCONUS logistics, contingency operations, or Special Operations Forces.

  • Experience utilizing Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle Procurement, Coupa, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and advanced Microsoft Excel for procurement and purchasing activities.

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), commercial procurement practices, and Government contracting principles.

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), or equivalent procurement and supply chain certifications are preferred.

  • Experience supporting rapid acquisition, operational procurement, and supply chain management within complex, geographically dispersed Government programs is highly desirable.

  • Experience procuring mission-critical equipment, construction materials, facilities support services, and logistics-related commodities supporting Indo-Pacific operations is highly desirable.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
