Job summary

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) seeks a Procurement Specialist III to analyze, draft, negotiate, and administer IT and other service-related contracts. This role supports law enforcement operations by procuring essential equipment and services, ensuring compliance with state procurement laws and processes.

Minimum education includes a bachelor’s degree and procurement experience; NC Contract Management Certification is required within one year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of procurement experience required.
• Equivalent education/experience will be considered.
• Completion of the NC Contract Management Certification Program within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of all goods, services, and IT-related contracts.
• Develop and review contracts with deliverable criteria and measurable results.
• Create/review RFPs/RFQs, bids, and MOAs.
• Ensure procurement documents comply with state guidelines and regulations.
• Adhere to NC General Statutes and NC eProcurement System.
