Formación

• Education or training in purchasing, business administration, economics, or related field.
• One year of buying experience in a Purchasing Department or Agency with mid-value procurements.
• Two years of buying experience equivalent to County Buyer I for mid-value procurements.

Responsabilidades

• Confer with County officials and staff on purchasing procedures, needs, specifications, bids and special programs.
• Prepare and develop contracts with vendors and manufacturers.
• Perform market and cost analyses to support purchasing forecasts and recommendations.
• Initiate purchasing in major functional areas and negotiate contracts or agreements.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure approval according to procurement policy.
• Investigate departmental complaints and resolve delivery or vendor issues.
• May supervise and guide support staff in a lead capacity.
