Job summary

EnergyLink Sourcing LLC, the centralized procurement arm of Quanta Services, seeks a Buyer I to manage materials and equipment purchases for critical infrastructure projects in Avon, Alabama.

You will oversee the full purchasing cycle, collaborate with category managers and project teams, and focus on on-time delivery, cost control, and supplier relationships. This early-career role offers growth within a dynamic energy sector.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in SCM, business, finance, or related field.
• 1 year purchasing/planning or supply chain experience; APICS preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute purchase orders based on field requisitions, project schedules, BOMs, and inventory needs.
• Monitor order status and resolve delivery issues, communicating impacts to planners/project managers.
• Maintain daily communication with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment and compliance with site requirements.
• Analyze and update system data for cost, lead times, safety stock, and reorder parameters.
• Identify supply risks and propose alternatives to maintain material flow.
• Conduct RFx activities for non-strategic items and negotiate terms.
