Job summary

EnergyLink Sourcing LLC, the centralized supply chain arm of Quanta Services, seeks a Buyer I to procure materials and equipment for critical infrastructure projects. You’ll manage the full purchasing cycle, plan orders, monitor deliveries, and drive supplier performance across multiple project teams.

You will work with category managers and planners to optimize spending, ensure availability, and improve supply chain performance in an early-career role with growth opportunities in strategic

Qualifications

• Associate degree in SCM/Business or related field.
• At least 1 year of purchasing, planning, or related supply chain experience.
• APICS or similar certifications preferred.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute purchase orders based on field requisitions, project schedules, BOMs, and inventory needs.
• Monitor order status and resolve delivery issues; communicate impacts to planners and project managers.
• Maintain daily communication with suppliers for timely fulfillment and compliance with site requirements.
• Analyze and update system data to reflect accurate cost, lead times, and reorder parameters.
• Identify supply risks and propose alternatives to maintain material flow.
• Conduct RFx activities for non-strategic items to meet project goals.
• Manage data accuracy and use sourcing tools to improve value and service.
• Coordinate supplier delivery updates for project teams.
• Interface with operations, project teams, and supply chain partners to anticipate needs.
