Job summary

Bart & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. You will work with a strong team, handling sourcing, supplier management, and purchase order administration to ensure timely material availability.

The role requires experience with procurement procedures, price analysis, and compliance with FAR/DFARS; candidates will interact with multiple internal teams and external suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive procurement experience in production or government contracting.
• Proficiency with FAR/DFARS, price analysis, and supplier management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage requisitions and procurement records.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, RFQ preparation, supplier qualification, and competitive bidding.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers within authority.
• Create and manage purchase orders with proper flowdowns and records.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to resolve procurement issues.
• Maintain auditable procurement files and support government reviews.
