Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer for our Gilroy, CA, onsite role within the Purchasing Department. You will process a high volume of purchasing transactions, coordinating with Asset Managers and Program Management to meet material demands and KPI targets.

You will negotiate with suppliers, manage past due deliveries, and resolve nonconforming material with internal teams and suppliers. This is a contract position with benefits eligibility and a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high volume of purchasing transactions on a daily basis
• Proactively and assertively negotiate with suppliers for pricing, terms, and cost control
• Manage past due deliveries, pull-ins, push-outs, and cancellations daily
• Identify risk parts and escalate to management
• Execute MRP actions and resolve nonconforming material with suppliers and internal teams
