Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer for an onsite contract-to-hire role in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will support procurement, process POs, and help manage inventory for multiple alloys with a focus on accuracy and vendor coordination.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a relevant field, SAP/ERP proficiency, and experience in purchasing. Onsite hours are 8–5 with minimal overtime in a dynamic metals environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, procurement and purchasing.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in SAP and ERP systems; MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes from mills, suppliers and service subcontractors.
• Assist with negotiating pricing of materials and services.
• Review and adjust the status of incoming purchases.
• Assist customers with questions and inquiries.
• Prepare and process quotes and purchase orders.
• Resolve discrepancies in goods and services.
• Receive material and process inventory requests.
• Update pricing pages.
