Job summary

TrueTimber Outdoors in Inman, SC is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to provide administrative and operational support to the Purchasing Department. You will enter and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system, communicate with vendors, and track inventory and ordering data.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working with spreadsheets and ERP systems, collaborating with internal departments and vendors to ensure accurate purchasing information and timely orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of administrative, purchasing, inventory, supply chain, or related experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Prepare purchase orders based on approved purchasing requirements.
• Verify pricing, quantities, item numbers, shipping information, and other order details for accuracy.
• Make updates to purchase orders as directed by the Purchasing Manager.
• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on outstanding or delayed orders.
• Communicate purchase order changes and updates to appropriate internal departments.
• Communicate with vendors regarding order status and expected ship dates.
• Follow up with vendors regarding late, incomplete, or incorrect shipments.
• Escalate vendor issues and delays to the Purchasing Manager.
• Assist in identifying shortages and coordinate with departments regarding purchase order and inventory information.
• Enter and update purchasing-related data in Excel and other company systems.
