Mallard Manufacturing, a MacLean-Fogg Company, is hiring a Purchasing Representative at our Sterling, Illinois facility. In this role, you will support accurate, timely purchasing by preparing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, maintaining purchasing records, and helping drive cost savings and process improvements.

Location: Sterling, IL; Work Arrangement: On-site; Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM-2:30 PM; Pay: $17.50-$21.50/hour; Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or related role.
• Knowledge of shipping with UPS/FedEx is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Edit and process purchase requests, preparing purchase orders.
• Coordinate with suppliers and maintain purchasing records.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain quotations and track orders.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Support junior staff and ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with reorder points.
