Job summary

Emergent Professional Resources L.P. (EPR) is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our modular design client in Houston. You’ll collaborate with Design, Estimating, Production, and Receiving to ensure materials arrive on time and at the right cost.

You will build strong vendor relationships, improve purchasing processes and SOPs, track BOMs and deliveries, and help keep multiple projects on track in a fast-paced environment. Modular construction experience is a plus, not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read construction drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Modular construction experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing for active construction projects, the shop, and office
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing
• Coordinate procurement needs with Estimating and Production
• Track materials, deliveries, costs, and purchasing forecasts
• Improve purchasing processes, SOPs, and workflows
• Review BOMs and construction drawings to ensure accurate purchasing
• Oversee and coach the Receiving team
• Manage vendor returns, refunds, and inventory replenishment
• Identify opportunities to make procurement smarter, faster, and more cost-effective
