Job summary

Strike, based in Spring, TX, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the Gulf Coast Region. You will prepare, create, and process requisitions and Purchase Orders for procurement of goods and services, and manage open commitments.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or energy services, with a Bachelor’s degree or higher and procurement certification preferred. This role requires travel and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of procurement experience.
• Construction, energy services and/or project management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
• Procurement certification from accredited institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support company’s procurement needs, from bid process to Purchase Order issuance and management of open commitments.
• Identify, prepare, create, and process requisitions and Purchase Orders for the procurement of goods and services.
• Coordinate and assist with Strike’s required documents for suppliers, including but not limited to purchase orders, change orders and any related documents.
• Support management of supplier qualification requirements, including contract, safety and insurance expectations, and established pricing.
• Ensure that documents related to suppliers are stored properly for accurate retention and retrieval in proper electronic storage and data formats.
• Identify and prepare cost savings and avoidance reports.
• Represent Strike in recurring meetings with suppliers, including account overview.
