Job summary

Saber Power Services in Houston, TX is seeking an entry-level Procurement Specialist I to support daily procurement operations. You will assist with purchase orders, vendor communications, andlogs maintenance, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, education is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other applicable field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year general office experience in a professional setting is required.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong reading and writing skills; excellent communication; team collaboration; time management; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist procurement specialists in entering purchase orders for materials, subcontracts, and rental equipment.
• Support the maintenance of purchase order logs and project-related spreadsheets.
• Expedite material purchases and rental equipment orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues such as missing materials, POD, quotes, or lead time inquiries.
• Coordinate vendor drawings with engineering and manufacturers to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries regarding daily procurement activities and provide clear and accurate information.
• Relay procurement-related information to other departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support procurement operations.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
