Reporting Line

This position reports to: Manager, Supply Chain Management 2

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of approved procurement activities. You will execute assigned tasks based on standard procedures. The work model for this role is: Remote. This position contributes to the Process Automation Process Industries division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Sourcing as required to meet customer requirements; working with challenging suppliers to maintain agreed terms and deliveries.
• Collaborating with various types of suppliers and managing different requests as needed by the business.
• Working closely with suppliers to ensure proper invoicing procedures are followed. Driving actions to resolve invoicing discrepancies and promote proper payments, involving relevant functions such as AP, Goods Receipt team, Controllers, Suppliers, and Project teams.
• Staying updated on all ABB procurement systems/tools and proactively participating in problem prevention and resolution during project execution. Serving as the procurement specialist/expert for your project teams.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or operations; or a high school diploma with 9+ years of experience in supply management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of contract management.
• Extensive know-how in supplier management and relationship building.
• Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working in international environments and managing stakeholders at various management levels.
