Overview

The Verint Global Procurement Team is looking to build upon the past few years of incredible growth and success by further developing our Global Procurement team. We already provide excellent and growing commercial support to underpin Verint’s strategic objectives, and by joining us now at this exciting time, you will be integral to further development. Verint has invested in key technology to support our Global Procurement team, from integrated P2P and contract register software, to a live spend cube for deep dive spend analysis. Reporting to the Director of Procurement within the Global Procurement team, you will be given the flexibility and autonomy to drive agreed strategies, deliver initiatives, and bring the role to life. We are looking for a strong Procurement Specialist who will be responsible for the sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for SW, SaaS, and Cloud & Hosting IT sub‑categories. This includes working with different departments to determine and execute purchase approach, purchase requirements, candidate suppliers, and supplier selection. The Procurement Specialist will also ensure compliance of vendor engagements with the company’s Procurement policies and procedures. You will lead negotiations, identify, and deliver real value for the business while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in accordance with the company’s procurement policies and procedures. With Verint continuing to evolve and with the recent Thoma Bravo acquisition and merger with Calabrio, you will play a key role in supporting integration activity across our global business—rapidly assessing third‑party spend, aligning suppliers to Verint standards, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure continuity, compliance, and value realization. We have the relationships, the processes, the procedures, and systems in place; we now need a highly proactive individual to make the role their own and champion procurement within the business.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper purchasing involvement in all major company vendor engagements and implements vendor management practices with strategic vendors of the organization.
  • Promotes savings and other value‑add through proactive negotiations of new agreements and renewals, leading benchmarking activity to perform market comparison of supplier rates and cost models, and executing the procurement strategies for the organization.
  • Actively participates in the establishment, communication and implementation of business goals and procurement improvements.
  • Establishes global cooperation and proper alignment with IT, Finance, Legal, Services and Operations.
  • Ensures all procurement activities follow the Global Procurement policy and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in sourcing SW, SaaS & IaaS, including strong knowledge of software license and SaaS terms.
  • Highly organized with excellent time‑management skills; highly flexible and able to handle multiple tasks and intense workload with short timeframes and unplanned requests.
  • Demonstrates independent work, confidence, integrity and determination.
  • Strong ability to collaborate in a cross‑functional, complex environment.
  • Limited domestic travel to attend business meetings.
  • Successful completion of a background screening process including employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and compliant with federal and local regulations.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience managing software development and service provider vendors and expenses.
  • Professional Procurement qualification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with emerging technology focusing on third‑party cloud services and cloud management tools, and ability to make educated recommendations about pricing, vendor selection, competition, market compression and optimization.
  • Prior experience with a leading technology company.
