Job summary

TrakMotive is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing activities and maintain inventory levels. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-efficient materials availability.

The role emphasizes demand planning, data-driven decision making, and process improvements to control costs and support production schedules. Strong Excel skills and 1–2 years of procurement experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of purchasing, procurement, or inventory control experience.
  • Experience with high SKU counts preferred.
  • Strong analytical and math skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing activities and maintain inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock, min/max, and safety stock; adjust as needed.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and communicate delivery status.
  • Prepare weekly purchase orders and liaise with suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure on-time, quality deliveries.
  • Maintain supplier communications and assist cross-functional teams.

Job description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team! In this role, you'll help keep our inventory organized, stocked, and running smoothly by managing purchasing activities and inventory levels. You'll work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.

WhatYou’llDo

Demand Planning & Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels, including minimum, maximum, and safety stock requirements, and make recommendations for inventory adjustments.
  • Coordinate and oversee inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Track incoming orders and communicate delivery status to relevant teams.
  • Provide daily inventory level reports to customers.
  • Analyze inventory trends and forecast future material needs to balance supply and demand while minimizing stockout risks.
  • Prepare and submit weekly inventory purchase orders to vendors.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between suppliers and internal departments to resolve procurement and inventory-related issues.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure products are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain records of supplier communications and meetings to support compliance with company expectations.
  • Coordinate supplier shipments to support inventory requirements and operational needs.
Operational Excellence & Business Support
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve purchasing efficiency.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
  • As business needs evolve, responsibilities may be adjusted or expanded to support company objectives.

  • Fast and accurate data entry abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Must Haves
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of related purchasing, procurement, or inventory control experience.
  • Experience managing inventory with a large number of SKUs is preferred.
