Job summary

Flowserve Corporation in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Buyer to drive procurement of subcontracted components and services, ensuring best price, quality and on-time delivery in line with corporate strategy.

You will develop and implement sourcing strategies, own supplier portfolio, negotiate favorable terms, support commercial operations during quotes, monitor orders, and optimize stock levels.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in a relevant field with 3–5 years of experience.
• ERP experience in SAP or Oracle is required.
• Fluency in English and strong knowledge of purchasing areas.

Responsibilities

• Execute Just in Time principles for material supply to projects.
• Negotiate best prices and terms to optimize component supply and profit.
• Support service centers at quotation stage to secure competitive pricing and delivery terms.
• Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery for external and intercompany orders.
• Set up supply agreements with key suppliers for favorable pricing and delivery.
• Review stock levels to maintain optimal on-site inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job AdvertisementRole Summary:Flowserve is looking for a Buyer to help achieve our team goals by guaranteeing the purchase of subcontracted components and services at the best conditions of price, quality and deadlines, in accordance with recommendations of global Supply Chain Team. In this role you will develop and implement purchasing strategies by supporting the Commercial Operations team regarding advance procurement activities, developing our strategy in the engineered markets, with the goal of increasing our profitability and our on-time delivery. You will work on strengthening the alignment of the Company's Purchasing strategy and business strategy.
