Job summary

Pureflow, Inc. is seeking an experienced Buyer/Procurement professional to join our team in Irving, Texas.

You will negotiate components, equipment, and supplies from vendors, manage PO entry in ERP, and drive cost reduction initiatives across the supplier base. You will collaborate with engineering, project managers, and operations to expedite delivery, monitor supplier performance, and ensure on-time procurement for complex water purification projects.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years direct purchasing experience in an OEM environment.
• Experience in materials management, inventory control, and logistics.
• Knowledge of mechanical items and electrical components.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Logistics preferred.
• Competent with ERP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate components, equipment, and supplies from vendors/suppliers.
• Accurately enter purchase orders into ERP with ship date.
• Improve purchasing procedures and controls; document and implement procedures.
• Expedite supply and prioritize suppliers to meet emergency and project needs.
• Work with internal customers to expedite and resolve supply issues.
• Provide delivery dates to project managers, service, and operations.
• Qualify, source, and negotiate to identify cost reductions with suppliers.
• Evaluate current supplier performance and manage supplier relationships.
• Interact daily with engineering and suppliers.
• Manage sourcing during project phases as main interface with suppliers.
• Be active in the network of Project Buyers.
• Measure supplier performance and drive issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for negotiating components, equipment, supplies from vendors/suppliers
• Accuratelyenterpurchase orders into ERP systemwith expected shipdate upon issuanceof order
• Improve purchasingprocedures and controlsdocumentand implementprocedures
• Expedite supplyand prioritize suppliersto meet emergency,short lead time,demandsaccording to service, projectand inventorysupplyneeds
• Workwith internal customersto expedite and resolve supply issues
• Provide deliverydates toproject managers,service,and operations
• Qualify,source, and negotiate, with an emphasisto identifycost reduction opportunities with suppliers
• Continuously evaluate the performance of the current supply base, map and identify new suppliers and establish and maintain relationships with the key suppliers
• Daily interaction with engineering and suppliers
• Manage sourcing activities in project phase and act as the main interface towards suppliers and internal projects during the entire project phase
• Be an active member in the network of Project Buyers
• Measurekeysupplier performance and drive resolution to issuesbyunderstanding suppliercapacities and capabilities
• Drive elimination of supplierdefectsreceived, and process returned material within 48 hours

Job Responsibilities:

• 5-8 yearsof directpurchasing experience in an OEM environment
• Proven experience within materials management situations (inventory control, physical inventory and logistics)
• Strong working knowledgeof mechanical items and electrical components
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school or US Military in Business Administration, Materials Management, Accounting, or Logistics preferred
• Competent computer skills with ERP system, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word,PowerPoint)
• Ability to organize,evaluate,prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones and deliverables
• Self-starterand ability to multi-task in fastpaced environment
