Job summary

Superior in Ohio is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the lifecycle of company vehicles and assets, coordinate purchasing activities, and build strong vendor relationships. The role supports fleet operations across the organization from its Advanced Logistics and Manufacturing Facility in Gahanna, Ohio.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in fleet, procurement, or asset management, proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing systems, and a track record of process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in fleet management, procurement, purchasing, asset management, or related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and business systems used to manage purchasing and assets.
• Bonus points for an associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• Bonus points for experience with ERP systems, fleet management software, and vehicle lifecycle management.
• Bonus points for experience in construction, electrical contracting, or industrial environments.
• Bonus points for familiarity with fleet telematics, fuel card management, vehicle upfitting, and strategic sourcing practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of company vehicles, including acquisitions, assignments, maintenance, and disposals.
• Maintain fleet records, registrations, insurance documentation, and tracking systems.
• Coordinate vehicle repairs, warranty claims, fuel card programs, and utilization reporting.
• Source and procure vehicles, equipment, tools, materials, and services to support business operations.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements.
• Create and manage purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies.
• Track spending and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of company assets and support inventory management activities.
• Partner with Operations, Accounting, Risk Management, and vendors to support fleet and procurement initiatives.
• Support special projects and drive continuous improvement efforts across fleet and purchasing processes.

Position: Procurement Specialist

Superior is looking for a highly organized and self-motivated Procurement Specialist to support fleet operations and purchasing activities across the organization. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the lifecycle of company vehicles and assets, coordinating procurement activities, and building strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational execution with continuous improvement initiatives. This role is based at our Advanced Logistics and Manufacturing Facility in Gahanna, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 2 years of experience in fleet management, procurement, purchasing, asset management, or a related field
• Required: You have experience with Microsoft Office and business systems used to manage purchasing and assets
