Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Monroe, OH to support purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, and inventory coordination across the supply chain. This temp-to-hire role partners with internal teams and external vendors to ensure materials and services are available for operations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in procurement, ERP experience, and strong Excel/Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional study in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, vendor management, or related functions.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting warehouse, operations, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments is preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies from domestic and international vendors.
• Process purchase orders and monitor orders through delivery.
• Obtain, review, and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and best overall value.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and expedite orders when necessary to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain purchasing, supplier, inventory, and pricing data within the ERP system.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with internal stakeholders to support material planning needs.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on quality, cost, service, and delivery performance.
• Resolve order discrepancies, vendor issues, delivery concerns, and invoice-related questions.
• Review invoices and support purchasing documentation, approvals, and payment processes.
• Assist with sourcing projects, procurement initiatives, forecasting activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Research market trends, pricing changes, and supply chain conditions to support purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with operations, warehouse, project, and field personnel to identify material requirements and support ongoing business needs.
• Provide responsive customer service to internal stakeholders while following established purchasing and operational procedures.

This role is responsible for purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, inventory coordination, and procurement support activities. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the supply chain while partnering with internal teams and external vendors to ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are available to support business operations. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $55K and $75K annually depending on experience.
