Ideal candidates have purchasing experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication for vendor and internal team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Process paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Heavy computer work and follow up with vendors.
• Interact with multiple warehouses.
• Support purchasing staff.
• Ensure paperwork is processed correctly and efficiently.
• Forecast demand and assure material supplies meet needs.
• Submit purchase orders and handle payments.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Analyze and enter price changes in the system.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products.
• Assist in daily cycle counts and inventory verification.

Champion Container is searching for experienced candidates for the position of procurement specialist. If you are looking for a career and not just a job, you are in the right place@ currently seeking an individual with purchasing experience and excellent communication skills for a full-time purchasing assistant position.

Our ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and good computer skills, as well as a professional demeanor, flexibility, and reliability. We provide an excellent salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Hours areMonday through Friday, 8:00-4:30pm. No overtime or weekend requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processing Paperwork for Incoming and Out-Going Shipments
• Heavy Computer Work and Follow up with Vendors
• Interaction with multiple Warehouses
• Support of Purchasing Staff
• Ensure any necessary paperwork is processed correctly and efficiently
• Where appropriate, forecast demand and assure material supplies support needs
• Perform functions associated with purchase order submission and payment
• Establish, build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
• Ananyze and enter price changes in the system
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all products
• Assist in the completion of counting, entering and verifying physical inventory for daily cycle counts
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information relating to pricing, sales and customer information
