Native American Development Corporation is seeking a part-time, fully remote APEX Procurement Specialist to support Native/tribally owned businesses with procurement technical assistance. The APEX Procurement Specialist is a part-time, remote negotiable position serving as a resource for Native/tribally owned businesses seeking procurement technical assistance. Preference will be given to candidates living in or near Western Montana.
This position supports the APEX program’s goals to:
The incumbent is expected to work independently with limited supervision while remaining accountable for achieving program goals and maintaining compliance with cooperative agreement requirements. Performance aligns with guidelines established under the Department of War OSB Cooperative Agreement and applicable program requirements.
Provide one-on-one counseling and technical assistance to clients regarding:
Advise clients on:
Monitor client progress, maintain accurate records and ensure reporting requirements are met.
Significant experience in government contracting, procurement, business development, or related field is strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (minimum 3+ years).
Strong working knowledge of federal, state, local, and tribal contracting processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business tools.
Experience working with Native American communities.
Familiarity with federal procurement systems and databases.
