Job summary

Warren Oil Company LLC is seeking an organized Buyer to join the Dunn, NC team. The role focuses on planning, stocking levels, and placing purchase orders for buy/sell items, consumables, and raw materials across Warren Oil locations.

You will collaborate with plant managers and purchasing staff to meet production stocking needs. Requirements include 3–5 years in procurement, 2+ years with MRP/ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred), and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years working with MRP/ERP systems; JD Edwards experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of procurement or related function.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word).
• Excellent organizational and attention to detail; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Continuously source best sources at best prices within area of responsibility.
• Prepare, publish and analyze bids (RFQs/RFPs) per policies.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Verify order acknowledgements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
• Follow up or expedite orders to meet schedules.
• Report activity to Purchasing Manager as requested.
• Reorder and replenish inventory within area of responsibility.
• Maintain vendor pricing, lead times, and SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with vendors to reduce lead times and resolve issues.
• Maintain item master data with pricing and reorder quantities.
• Manage obsolete and discontinued item numbers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
