Job summary

AAR seeks a Procurement Specialist, Repairs in Wood Dale, IL to oversee outsourcing of part maintenance, repairs, and delivery while ensuring policy compliance. You will manage vendors, negotiate quotes, monitor program performance, and coordinate with multiple departments to maintain timely parts flow.

The role requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience, ITAR compliance, and strong Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on process improvements and KPI achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6 years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS/ITAR or aviation procurement preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• U.S. person per ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outsourcing of part repair and manage flow of parts.
• Develop, evaluate, and manage repair vendors and quality.
• Review, negotiate, approve vendor quotes and contracts.
• Analyze program performance and KPI attainment.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely parts flow.
• Manage vendor and order activities to meet commitments.
• Ensure transactions comply with purchasing policies.
• Support government/regulatory audits and process improvements.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
