Job summary

State of Louisiana, Office of Management & Finance, Procurement Department, seeks an Assistant Procurement Director to oversee statewide procurement activities, P-Card, travel, accounts payable, contracts, and purchasing programs within LAFA. Supervises two staff and reports to the Procurement Director.

The role requires significant experience in administrative services, policy development, and contract management across state systems, with a focus on compliance and statewide coordination

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in administrative services.
• Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services.
• A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in administrative services.
• An advanced degree plus two years of experience in administrative services.

Responsibilities

• Communicates at the management level within the agency when interrelated policy planning procedures are established.
• Organizes, directs, and controls work activities of the procurement staff to include contract management, purchasing, accounts payable, and travel.
• Assists in the development and execution of Department of Agriculture & Forestry procurement policy and procedures.
• Serves as an official source for information regarding contracts/or grants, procurement, travel, risk management, and accounts receivable.
• Monitor executed contracts for compliance in coordination with program managers.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting seminars to inform LDAF and LAFA personnel on a statewide basis of all procurement processes.
• Serves as Agency Purchasing Card Program Assistant Administrator (LaCarte Visa) for LDAF statewide users and ensure compliance with state guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain Works system to manage procurement/travel cards; audit CBA P-card accounts.
