Job summary

Pattern is seeking a Head of Procurement, Ops to own packaging supply sourcing across its U.S. warehouse network and to drive cost-effective procurement as we scale from 4 to ~10 facilities. You will own vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and build repeatable playbooks for launches while aligning with Finance, Ops, and ESG teams.

The role demands data-driven decisions, hands-on execution, and travel to warehouse sites 30–50% as new sites come online.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement or supply chain with indirect spend experience.
• Experience sourcing packaging supplies (corrugated, poly, mailers, or similar).
• Hands-on contributor; not managing a large team.
• Bachelor's degree and willingness to travel (30-50%).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for consumable packaging supplies.
• Lead supplier negotiations, RFPs, and contract structuring.
• Build a repeatable playbook for new warehouse launches and optimize inventory/reorder logic.
• Own the supplies spend budget and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Establish spend visibility by site, category, and supplier.
• Primary contact for suppliers and distributors; manage performance.
• Select and implement lightweight inventory/tools for tracking and PO management.
• Collaborate with Ops, Finance, Real Estate/Facilities, and ESG teams.
