Job summary

Atalco Gramercy, a leader in alumina production, seeks an experienced Procurement Operations Manager to direct daily procurement activities, lead the Procurement Operations team, and ensure material availability for plant reliability and major projects. The role requires strong sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation skills in a heavy industrial setting.

Travel and site presence may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Technology, or related field preferred.
Minimum 7 years of procurement, purchasing, materials management, supply chain, or procurement operations experience.
Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience, including experience managing a team of buyers or materials personnel.

Responsibilities

Lead the Procurement Operations team responsible for purchase of materials and equipment, including workload planning and development.
Oversee warehouse and materials operations to meet plant operating and turnaround demands.
Develop and enforce procurement procedures, approval workflows, and process controls.
Drive adoption and data integrity of ERP and eSourcing systems across procurement.
Report procurement performance, savings, and risk to Supply Chain and operations leadership.
Lead end-to-end sourcing process including supplier identification, RFIs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
