Job summary

NWS is seeking a highly organized, analytical Procurement Support Supervisor to join our Operations team in North Carolina. You will lead a team of Procurement Specialists, ensuring efficient purchasing aligned with company policies and cross-functional goals.

The role emphasizes performance management, process improvements, and strong collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers to meet business needs. A Bachelor's in a related field and prior procurement leadership are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related operational experience.
Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience working with ERP, procurement, purchasing, or inventory management systems.
Experience managing supplier relationships and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

Supervise, coach, and develop Procurement Specialists to ensure effective performance and professional growth.
Oversee the procurement process to ensure timely and accurate execution of purchasing activities.
Establish and monitor KPIs for the procurement team and track workload, cycle times, and supplier responsiveness.
Maintain positive supplier relationships and collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues.
Partner with internal departments to identify procurement needs and priorities; serve as liaison between teams.
Promote continuous improvement and support compliance audits and documentation.
