The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) is seeking a Procurement Officer II to manage procurement of equipment, services, and software in accordance with COMAR Title 21 and OSP guidelines. The role requires obtaining the Certified Maryland Procurement Officer certification within one year of appointment.

The position emphasizes complex purchasing, negotiation, and documentation duties, with a clear path to professional certification and compliance with state procurement laws.

Formación

• Seven years of procurement/contract management experience for Option 1.
• Six years of procurement/contract management with two years in related duties for Option 2.
• Possession or ability to obtain procurement certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Perform complex purchasing tasks for formal and informal procurements.
• Meet agency needs while following state laws and internal/external policies.
• Collaborate with management and subject matter experts for research and scopes of work.
• Prepare clear, professional documentation for all contracts.
