Yavapai County's Finance department is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Procurement Officer to support the County’s continued implementation of a centralized procurement function. This position will play a key role in developing and supporting centralized procurement processes, promoting responsible stewardship of public funds, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies, and providing guidance and support to departments throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Procurement Certification such as a NIGP-CPP is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or a related field
A minimum of three (3) years of procurement experience.
An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education as well as a professional procurement certification may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-per-year basis.
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
The work environment is associated with an office. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
