Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Columbia Falls, MT seeks a procurement and materials buyer to support mill uptime and the Operations Procurement Lead Team. You will manage all functions of ordering MRO parts, bulk supplies, services, and Capital Projects while aligning with mill goals and supplier performance.

Collaboration with storeroom, maintenance, and planning is essential. The role requires 2+ years of buying experience, strong negotiation, and inventory management skills, with SAP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Buyer experience preferably in heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Experience negotiating terms and conditions.
• Strong communication (oral, written) at all levels.
• Knowledge of Inventory Management practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Operations Procurement guidance, policies, and procedures.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
• Generate and record cost savings.
• Maintain On-Time-Delivery performance.
• Provide leadership and supervision of storeroom personnel.
• Maintain SAP Contracts and Purchase Orders accuracy.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and supplier issues.
