Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Procurement & Material Specialist to support manufacturing from a procurement perspective. You will lead Plan for Every Part events, approve Change Orders, and monitor inventory, BOM reviews in SAP, and disposition of material.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, and strategic procurement to ensure smooth production flow and optimal inventory levels across sites.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent, 5+ years of relevant procurement experience.
  • Advanced degree in a related field with 3+ years experience acceptable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships across production planning, manufacturing, MPS planning, and procurement.
  • Meet the Manufacturing Flow Inhibitor goals set by the procurement organization.
  • Develop and review reports for management decisions.
  • Monitor inventory and disposition of excess or quarantined material.

The Procurement & Material Specialist will work in Procurement and will support a manufacturing area from a procurement perspective. This position will lead Plan for Every Part events, approve and review Change Orders. As well as monitor inventory levels and review disposal reports. This position also reviews Short to Lead Time requests. This position also works a lot in SAP does BOM reviews, and the mismatch tool amongst other SAP transactions.

What You Will Do
  • Maintain a stretch relationship between production planning/manufacturing/MPS Planning/procurement and any other organization/group to anticipate potential material constraints preventing production flow.
  • Responsible for meeting the Manufacturing Flow Inhibitor goal set by the procurement organization for the site.
  • Maintain a number of reports to allow management to monitor performance and take actions and make decisions based on the data set.
  • Monthly disposition of excess inventory after the information is reviewed and shared with program management and manufacturing for concurrence.
  • Monitor material that is quarantined and work to accelerate disposition of rejected material.
  • Develop an excellent network across all sites within the Collins organization.
  • Develop strategies to help improve the performance of not only the procurement organization, but the overall site. Lead Plan for Every Part events with cross functional team.
Qualifications
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Salary

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
