Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Procurement Manager for Maersk Ground Freight to support growth, recruit and onboard a network of independent delivery partners, and ensure capacity readiness for home delivery. The role combines strategic sourcing, analytics, and stakeholder management to optimize cost and service quality.

You will build partnerships with internal teams and external partners, drive recruitment pipelines, and negotiate terms that align with operational goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in procurement, carrier sourcing, transportation, logistics, recruiting, or supplier management.
• Experience building and managing networks of independent contractors, carriers, or service providers.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management capabilities.
• Ability to proactively generate and develop new supplier relationships.
• Experience within final mile, home delivery, transportation, or logistics environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, qualify, and onboard independent delivery partners to support final mile operations.
• Develop sourcing strategies to expand local carrier networks and improve market coverage.
• Build long-term relationships with independent haulers and delivery teams to ensure sustainable capacity.
• Negotiate competitive rates, service agreements, and operating terms with independent contractors and delivery partners.
• Ensure supplier compliance with operational, insurance, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor market conditions and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service levels.
