We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager who will oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, ensuring that all aspects of the process are operating efficiently, effectively, and within plan for FG Automotive North America. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of 6 buyers across three manufacturing sites (Des Plaines IL, Brookville OH, and San Luis Potosi Mexico); and managing and optimizing the supply chain from procurement to delivery, and ensuring that products are delivered on time, at the right cost, and with the right quality.

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on leader with a diverse supply chain operations background with engineered products. This person will need to have strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills with a desire to work in a fast-paced organization. In addition to exceptional and inspirational leadership, the successful candidate must have a "roll-up your sleeves" bias for action attitude – this is a working manager role.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies and plans to optimize the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance and implement corrective actions as required to ensure optimal supplier performance.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate pricing and contracts, and establish supplier relationships to ensure the best possible value for the organization.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure the accuracy of inventory records, including identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and sales, to ensure that the supply chain process is aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to the supply chain process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/logistics, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years of supply chain and procurement leadership experience to include distribution, supply chain management, logistics, sourcing, and procurement.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with demonstrated success in growing and developing a team, both direct and indirect.
  • Leadership experience in multi-site supply chain.
  • Demonstrated success in SRM, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management. Experience in resin-based categories is a plus; as is automotive experience.

  • Strong professional knowledge in all aspects of supply chain, procurement (category management, SRM, contract management) and continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma, logistics, demand planning, inventory optimization, SIOP, production planning, warehousing, order processing and customer collaboration)
  • Must have detailed understanding of MRP, fulfillment/buying, demand planning/management and forecasting.
  • Strong leadership skills in dealing with internal and external customers.
