Job summary

Filtration Group in Joliet, IL is seeking a manufacturing machine operator to run and set up assigned equipment within a fast-paced production cell. You will work with a quality-conscious team to meet daily production targets while following safety and plant rules.

This role requires basic reading and counting skills, good hand-eye coordination, and flexibility with hours. You’ll maintain records, report issues promptly, and help keep tools and workstations clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, and count.
  • Good hand eye coordination and effective communication.
  • Must be able to work sitting or standing for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
  • Preferred: 2-3 years’ work experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned machine(s) per instructions.
  • Setup and run machines in department/cell.
  • Work in a quality-conscious and safe manner.
  • Maintain records of production and scrap.
  • Report tool, equipment, or material issues to leads.
  • Keep workstation and tools clean and maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities
  • To perform any of the machine operations as assigned by the Production Lead or Production Manager.
  • Has the ability and proficiency to setup and operate assigned machine(s) in department/cell.
  • Works in quality conscious and safe manner.
  • Ability to perform work at process speed and/or standard rates.
  • Advises Production Lead or Production Manager of any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup operation.
  • Maintains daily product and scrap records.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Production Lead.
  • Keeps workstation and surrounding area clean.
  • Maintain all assigned tools.
  • Any other duties required by management.

Physical/Mental Demands

The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or more up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination are required.
