Fermilab is seeking a Procurement Manager I to lead subcontracting and procurement teams for DOE-aligned projects. You will plan acquisition requirements, guide project managers, and ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal customers, project teams, and subcontractors, with onsite work at Batavia, IL. A strong background in procurement and supervisory experience is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply chain, engineering, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum of 7+ years of Procurement experience.
• Professional certification such as CPM, CFCM, CPCM or a Master’s Degree in Business or MBA.

Aufgaben

• Plans and develops subcontracting requirements; provides guidance and recommendations to Project Managers, project team members, senior Laboratory Managers, and other Laboratory customers, and guide Procurement team members throughout this process.
• Communicates the Laboratory mission, Procurement goals, specific project acquisition objectives, and supports implementation through the execution of processes that guide the long term and day-to-day operation of FFDG Procurement.
• Communicates essential information between Procurement leadership, project managers and the Procurement staff, in a timely and effective manner.
• Participates in project meetings such as those with Project Management, and other project related groups.
• Continuously interacts with subcontractors.
• Supports audits and assessments, contractor procurement system reviews; collaborates with the DOE Fermi Site Office (FSO); ensures team compliance with the prime contract and applicable acquisition regulations.
