Job summary

Fermilab is seeking a Procurement Specialist IV to lead complex construction and major subcontracting efforts in support of the laboratory’s high-energy physics program. You will manage end-to-end procurement, ensure compliance with FAR/DOE requirements, and collaborate with internal customers and DOE offices.

The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, price/cost analysis, and contract administration, with an onsite Batavia office and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in procurement or related field.
• Nine years of procurement experience.
• Knowledge of Buy American Act, Service Contract Act, Davis Bacon Act, safety, insurance, and socio-economic provisions.
• Experience with major construction procurement awards and IDIQs/BOAs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as procurement subject matter expert in capital construction, A/E, and special projects.
• Solicit proposals, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and award procurements.
• Ensure subcontract files are complete and compliant with terms and regulations.
• Support audits, DOE collaboration, and procurement metrics.
