Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Procurement Manager 2 to join our Global Supply Chain team. This leadership role is remote with 25% travel, and requires overseeing supplier sourcing, price analysis, negotiations and risk management.

You will supervise a team of about 10 professionals, drive LTAs and high-dollar contracts, and align procurement activities with sector and division objectives while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or contracts.
  • Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or contracts.
  • High School Diploma with 9+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement process including source selection, price analysis, negotiations, and risk management.
  • Lead a team and ensure alignment of procurement goals with sector objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and release RFQs for LTAs and high-dollar reqs.
  • Execute negotiations of LTAs and high-dollar contracts; identify cross-divisional opportunities.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Procurement Manager 2 to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals within our Global Supply Chain organization.


This leadership position will be remote. Occasional travel (25% of the time) may be required to support business needs.

The Manager in this role will be responsible for the direct supervision and management of their delegated staff.The Manager’s team will consist of approximately 10 direct reports who will support in Procurement activities across multiple divisions.


In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Must be Proficient in the procurement process, including but not limited to source selection, price analysis, negotiations, risk management
  • The preferred candidate should possess outstanding written and verbal communicationskills and be extremely organized
  • Can quickly identify and communicate risk and opportunity
  • Have a clear understanding of established processes and procedures
  • Possess the ability to align team goals to Sector and Division objectives
  • Effectively manage a supply base: Evaluate supplier delivery, quality, and cost performance
  • Develop and maintain Strategic Supplier relationships
  • Supervise release of RFQs for LTA and high-dollar reqs
  • Execute negotiations of LTAs and high-dollar contracts
  • Identify opportunity for cross Divisional strategies
  • Build and develop a geographic diverse and remote team
  • Ability to plan schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objectives

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, subcontracts, contracts, resource planning or accounting, OR a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, subcontracts, contracts, resource planning or accounting OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 9 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, subcontracts, contracts, resource planning or accounting
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
  • Must have Procurement or Subcontracts experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projectsand interacting with multifunctional roles/department
  • Leadership and people management skills with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork and cooperation
  • Budgeting experience and EVM knowledge
  • Solid understanding of engineering/technical requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain management
  • Adept in Pre/Post-Award management (MRP, RFP’s, Competition, Negotiation, etc…)
  • Familiar with Government and Commercial procurement regulatory requirements
  • Practiced in policy and procedure, interpretation, and change management
  • Knowledgeable with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and Export regulations

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
