Job summary

MOHR Talent is partnering with a growing biotech/pharma organization in Rossmoor, CA to hire a hands-on procurement leader who will manage sourcing, supplier relationships, purchasing processes, and a team of buyers onsite.

This role requires procurement leadership experience in biotech, pharma, life sciences, medical device, or another regulated environment, ERP experience, and a proven ability to drive cost savings while maintaining compliant purchasing practices across cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience.
• 2+ years leading or supervising a procurement/purchasing team.
• Background in biotech, pharma, life sciences, medical device, or regulated manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GMP, supplier compliance, documentation, and regulated purchasing.
• Experience with RFQs, RFPs, contracts, vendor onboarding, negotiations, and purchase orders.
• ERP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of procurement buyers.
• Oversee purchase orders, quotes, proposals, supplier onboarding, contracts, and procurement metrics.
• Manage sourcing for indirect commodities, services, capital projects, and operational goods.
• Lead supplier negotiations and support contract commitments.
• Partner with finance, operations, quality, supply chain, and internal teams to solve purchasing issues.
• Drive cost savings, supplier performance, and process improvements.
• Support inventory needs through vendor-managed inventory partners.
• Help maintain compliant procurement practices, SOPs, policies, and documentation.
